The busy mind is a left over from active addiction

When they finally decide to give the word that its "all-clear," I think instead of scheduling my usual busy business week and resuming rounds of calls and coffee or lunch dates, I'll take a moment before I have to tell the dog that I'm busy and I can't take him for a hike. I'll look into my spiritual well and reflect on how necessary everything I used to do really is. I pray that COVID was a once in a life-time event and that the one good thing that came out of it was learning how simple I can make my life and yet still be productive. Hopefully, I won't need a pandemic to remind me to work with deeper thought so I can slow down and be more proficient at the same time!
